The Municipality of McDougall is originally incorporated on May 1, 1872, and is located immediately to the north and east of the Town of Parry Sound.
The community of Nobel is the largest village in the municipality, with smaller communities located at Hurdville, Waubamik and Taylor Subdivision (Badgers Corners). A majority of the land base in the municipality is rural with an extensive shoreline on Georgian Bay and even some agricultural land in the Hurdville area. McDougall also contains many inland lakes, including Mill Lake, Harris Lake and Long Lake.

Must Visit Attraction
Located 10 minutes north of Parry Sound, the Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activity Centre is within an old-growth forest on the rugged Canadian Shield. Run by volunteers, the GNOAC offers over 30 kilometres of trails open year-round.
During the winter months, you can explore their groomed trails by cross-country ski, snowshoe or fat bike. After the winter is over, take in the scenery on foot or go for a spin on their network of mountain-bike trails. You can also enjoy padding on nearby Nine-Mile Lake and Mill Lake during the summer and autumn months.
